Chicago Fashion Week takes over the weekend, and the best of it happens after dark. Friday ends with an all-black dance floor in Fulton Market. Saturday brings a black-and-white runway in a historic Lincoln Park hall, a candlelit masquerade in Pilsen, and a runway party in River North. Sunday closes with one more show on the Northwest Side. This is Chicago weekend nightlife for October 9 to 11: dress up, pick your rooms, and plan for a late Friday.

Most of these nights cost $45 or less, and several are free with an RSVP. The Field Museum hosts the Chicago International Gala on Friday too, and that one is sold out. Everything below still has a way in.

Friday, October 9: Eclipse After Dark at Carbon

The Chicago Fashion Coalition throws the after party of the weekend at Carbon Chicago (1204 W Lake St, Fulton Market) from 10:30 PM to 2 AM. The dress code is all black, worn your way: sheer against structured, matte against gloss, sculptural shapes and layers that move. Chicago DJ Jay Adams opens with deep and tribal house, then headliner Hashtom takes the room from midnight to close with house and Latin house built for a packed floor. Expect arrival portraits and editorial photographers working the crowd.

General admission is listed at $25 on the Chicago Fashion Week schedule, with tickets on Luma. Groups of 10 to 12 can book one of three Eclipse tables at $1,500, with a welcome bottle of sparkling wine. Earlier in the evening, two free RSVP parties warm up the night: Made Common at Ada’s Alley at Charcoal Factory (1684 N Ada St) from 7 to 11 PM, and the SELVEDGE: The Blueprint industry social at Blue Leopard Lounge (1252 N Wells St) from 9 PM to 2 AM. Both are listed on the official schedule.

Doors open at 7:15 PM, the runway starts at 8:15 PM, and drinks are served through the evening.

Tickets are $45 on shop-cwilli.com, seating is first come, first served, and a portion of proceeds goes to Howard Brown Health. Arrive at doors for a front-row seat and the best pick of the sample rack.

The evening blends a fashion show, an art exhibit, and ritual performance, with DJ Duane Powell as special guest. Doors open at 5 PM and the show runs from 6 to 9 PM.

Entry is free with an RSVP through Eventbrite. It ends early enough to cross town for a second stop.

Saturday, October 10: AIM Girls: No Limits at Fame Cocktail Club

For a River North runway with cocktails in hand, AIM Girls: No Limits takes over Fame Cocktail Club (157 W Ontario St). Doors open at 7 PM and the show runs from 8 to 11 PM. Tickets are $15 through the Chicago Fashion Week listing, the easiest ticket price of the weekend.

Doors open at 5 PM, the show starts at 6, and tickets run $40 to $70 through the Chicago Fashion Week listing. Spend the afternoon at Chicago’s Fashion Edit at The Emily Hotel (311 N Morgan St, Fulton Market), a free RSVP showcase of women-led Chicago brands from noon to 7 PM, and you have a full Sunday.
